Sucker Punched Pt. 2

Now some of you may remember my earlier post: Sucker Punched?

Today I did another search on our blog, and I found this:
Like print newspapers and newspaper websites, blogs can gain reputations based on its content, ideologies, and presentation. For example, blogging infused with malicious sarcasm, like http://stopbarackobama-group.blogspot.com/ will hopefully not gain respect from most readers. This particular blog responds to and dismisses readers’ objections to its content more than it posts original content. It also consistently calls its objectors stupid, in one way or another. This demonstrates the importance of readers’ ability to comment on blogs, and its effect on journalism. If a blogger responds to readers’ comments by churning low blows to their level of intelligence, the blogger will undermine his or her own purposes. The “Stop Obama” blog will not persuade supporters of Obama to change their minds by calling his supporters dumb. Though this blog provides readers with news, its loyalty is not to “the citizens” but rather to “the cause.” Perhaps that is the difference between blogging and journalistic blogging.

To 'Melissa':

Well we didn't start this blog to write original news articles. The purpose of this blog is to give our take on newsworthy headlines, repost videos, write our opinions, etc. We aren't here to change your minds on who to vote for, and if we do happen to persuade someone to not vote Obama, that's a bonus.

Yes, this blog is for "the cause". Our cause is the main Facebook group that we are directly linked to. This blog is not at all "quality journalism" as you try to portray your blog as and it certainly is biased. We don't support Obama. We know that. Does that bother you? Do you know how many blogs and large news organizations are in the tank for Obama? Why can't we be against him?

I recommend you check out The Daily Gut. It is laced with sarcasm and clever double entendres, and I love it. Greg Gutfeld writes about his take on recent events in the news and reposts original articles, and he knows that. That's the point of that blog.

Your post goes under the title, "Is blogging journalism", but in actual fact I don't think you intended to answer that question. You probably just wrote it to slander us. Thanks for that.

Thank you for taking the time to find our blog and then write fallacies about us. I know this may be hard to believe, but you are biased too! So don't run your mouth about us anymore. (Oh gosh, there goes my malicious sarcasm again.)
